Heimatkonzepte III - vielmal ein Stück Heimat (Concepts of Home III - many times a piece of home)

Can you find a home in your own body?
Is a home hidden in the we?
Do personal rituals create a homelike feeling, no matter where you are?

In a time, when home is not longer bound to a house or a piece of land, on which we are born, we have to look for other options how, where and by which means we feel "at home". Being at home means knowing your way around. You feel at home, when something is familiar to you. And what is familiar, is not always pleasant.

The dance company urbanReflects explores this extended notion of home together with the choreographer Pascal Sangl and expresses it in many different forms. They are accompanied by live percussion music from five centuries, amongst others pieces of Johann Sebastian Bach and Steve Reich.

The company urbanReflects creates its third production in the series "Heimatkonzepte" (Concepts of Home) wih choreographed and improvised answers and theses. They are accompanied by the international percussion group "Repercussion", who have their base in North Rhine-Westphalia, where they play together with renowned ensembles like Deutschen Oper am Rhein, Duisburger Philharmonikern, the Beethoven orchestra Bonn or the WDR symphony orchestra.

A cooperation of the company urbanReflects with the choreographer Pascal Sangl and the percussion group Repercussion.
